The Church Fete (2011)

The large field next to the church provides a typically English setting for this traditional annual event which is held on a Saturday afternoon in the second half of June.

Ever popular stalls sell cakes, plants, toys, books, preserves etc. Tea and beer tents, burger bar and bottle stall of course. Entertainments included a band (Elgar School of Music), a 'fun' dog show, maypole dancing, pony rides and skittling for pork (not whole pig these days) and rides in a vintage car, this year a 1905 Model T Ford.
